transition dialogue
“Transition Dialogue 2019-2021 – Dealing with change in democratic ways” is a project financed by the German Federal Agency for Civic Education, while DRA (Deutsch-Russischer Austausch) and Sofia Platform are international project partners in the consortium. Academic and civil society organizations from Bulgaria, Croatia, Germany, Poland, Russia, Lithuania and Ukraine are also participating in the project. In Croatia, the project is implemented jointly by the Institute of Social Sciences “Ivo Pilar” and the Foundation Znanje na djelu.
The project investigates how economic, political and socio-cultural transformations, which have taken place over the last thirty years since the fall of communist regimes in Central, Eastern and South-Eastern Europe, have been taught in contemporary history classes in schools. The goal of the project is to create new, additional learning materials, such as a specific curriculum on the dimensions of the transition process and a manual with recommendations on transition teaching to be used in both formal and informal education.
