Eighth grade students of the Miroslav Krleža Elementary School visited the Franck company on Friday, February 14th 2020 as part of the “Pogledaj. Probaj. Doživi.” program which the Znanje na djelu (Knowledge at Work) Foundation has been implementing for the sixth year in a row. In recent years, the program has been organized exclusively for high school students, and this visit is, in fact, a pilot project for elementary school students.
Young visitors had the opportunity to see the production of teas, but also listen to lectures by experts from the Department of Finance, Human Resources and Quality Control. Perhaps more interesting than the lecture were the questions of primary school students, which stimulated meaningful discussions on the topic of motivation, professional orientation, and the connection of departments within the company.
“The visit was fun, but also instructive. It was really nice to see the employees who spread so much good energy “, said Maria T., an eighth-grade student at the Miroslav Krleža Elementary School, after the visit.
Znanje na djelu (Knowledge at Work) has recognized the importance of including primary school students in their programs because it is in primary school that the decision to enroll in secondary school is made, which already largely determines the course of a young person’s career. The main goal of the “Pogledaj. Probaj. Doživi.” program is to introduce students to career development opportunities, increase youth employment and prevent young people from leaving Croatia.
