Znanje na djelu joins THE CIVICS Innovation Hub as partner in the implementation of CIVIC SCOUTS project in Croatia. On Friday, February 11th, Anja Ostermann, Co-founder and Managing Partner of THE CIVICS Innovation Hub presented new CIVIC SCOUTS project in Zagreb, Croatia.
THE CIVICS Innovation Hub is an organisation founded by Anja Ostermann, Louisa Slavkova and Dr. Caroline Hornstein Tomić dealing with civic education and democracy.
In the recently launched project CIVIC SCOUTS, The CIVICS Innovation Hub and ZND strive to support companies to also become spaces of civic education learning, where one can experience democracy. THE CIVICS supports both citizens and civic educators to deal with the challenges of our time, such as threats to democracy, causes and effects of climate change, growing polarisation, and social divides.
At the meeting held mid-February, both organizations met with representatives of AHK Kroatien, Advantage Austria, and the Swiss Embassy. The project, supported by Robert Bosch Stiftung and German Federal Agency for Civic Education, seeks to organically induce vocational education with civic education, so that the colleagues who become CIVIC SCOUTS turn into facilitators of difficult discussions on various transformation topics.
