EXPERIENCE THE BUSINESS WORLD
Is the programme STEM. Grow. Explore. explicitly for high school teachers?
No. We welcome also applications from primary school teachers.
Who are our programmes for?
Our programmes are for pupils and teachers, with the aim of providing direct insight into the world of work and new careers.
Does participation in our programmes cost anything?
No. Participation is free of charge!
What is the application process for our programmes?
Pupils: First you need to find out if your school already cooperates with Znanje na Djelu, and who the contact person is.
After that, follow the instructions for application or ask for more information at email@example.com. Participation must be approved by your school director.
Schools: Schools can apply by contacting the Foundation’s office at: firstname.lastname@example.org
What is expected from pupils who participate in our programmes?
We expect pupils to show interest, pose intelligent questions, and to behave responsibly and with confidence.
How are partner companies and institutions selected?
In two ways: via our network of contacts, we send queries to companies and institutions, or interested companies contact us. For a company or institution to be considered as a host, it must meet criteria such as business integrity, dedication to the development of human resources, and an innovative and creative approach to business.
What is the selection process for the programme Observe. Try. Experience?
First, pupils participate in the Jump into the Future workshop. They then send in a CV and motivation letter, which are the basis for initial selection.
Pupils who advance to the second round present their ‘dream job’ at an interview conducted by representatives of Znanje na Djelu and partner companies, and pupils who participated in the programme in preceding years.
Those who show the highest degree of motivation and enthusiasm will be given the opportunity to spend two days in the workplace of their choice.
How do pupils prepare for internships in the programme Observe. Try. Experience?
First, we expect pupils to study all available information on the host company (websites, media articles, services and products) to prepare for their visit.
We arrange the time, place and duration of the internship with the host and deliver a signed and scanned agreement of consent. Then we notify the school and pupil of the schedule.
Prior to the visit, the parents/guardians or pupils, if legal adults, must carefully read and sign the consent forms and submit them to the Foundation. Pupils will receive written instructions and confirm their arrival to the hosts not less than two days prior to the internship by telephone or e-mail.
Pupils must arrive at their host’s premises at the scheduled time, and carefully adhere to all instructions given by their mentors for the duration of their stay.
After the conclusion of the internship, we expect pupils to thank their hosts in writing for offering them this opportunity.
What if pupils cannot participate in a programme due to illness or for some other reason?
Pupils must notify Znanje na Djelu and the host of any such eventualities in time.
How do I keep up with news about the programmes?
We post all notifications concerning programme announcements, application deadlines and similar news on our website and Facebook page. If you would like to receive our newsletter, contact us at: email@example.com.
Can I receive a certificate of participation?
All programme participants receive a certificate upon completion as a .pdf file, which they may print out themselves. Companies and institutions receive certificates of appreciation.
